How to Use Our Clip-ons
The simplest way to take on and off your clips.
When to Use
Below is general guidance on when to use each lens, however, you'll find what suits you best naturally as you use them based on your needs.
Note - If tinted lenses with strong blue blocking is an adjustment for you, use them for as long as is comfortable at a time, building up till your eyes have adjusted. It may feel weird at first but it will be easier on your eyes ultimately.
When the lenses are too smudged with oils or grease to remove with the lens cloth follow these steps for the best way to keep them looking great and avoid scratched lenses.
Note - Do not clean with clothing or tissues as this won't actually clean them and could cause scratches.
Start with washed hands then rinse your lenses under warm water (not hot).
This will remove dust and other debris, which can help avoid scratching your lenses when you're cleaning them.
Apply a small drop of dishwashing liquid to each lens - ideally a natural/non-detergent one so you won't risk damaging the lens coatings.
Gently rub both sides of the lenses and all parts of the frame.
Make sure you clean every part of your glasses, including the nose pads and where the edge of the lenses meet the frame - dust, debris and skin oils frequently accumulate here.
Rinse both sides of the lenses and the frame.
Failing to remove all traces of soap will cause the lenses to be smeared when you dry them
Gently shake your glasses to get rid of most of the water on the lenses.
Inspect the lenses carefully to make sure they are clean.
Dry the lenses and frame with your clean, lint-free BARKLEYS lens cloth.
Note - our lens cloth can be hand washed or popped in a delicates wash-bag when it gets dirty.
